Hello. I’m AKI, the shop manager at LA GALERIE Wine Shop.

LA GALERIE WINE SHOP features a wall filled with wines along the front, creating an impressive ambiance reminiscent of a gallery or perhaps a foreign library. It’s a very stylish setting.

Especially noticeable is the wall at the back of the counter, which is the focal point of the shop. Here, we plan to showcase various items that represent the store’s “face,” with themes changing seasonally.

For our first display, I pondered long and hard about what to feature. Champagne? Burgundy? It’s a crucial decision since it greatly influences the shop’s image.

After much contemplation, I decided to adorn this space with rosé wines.
The pink hues not only add a festive touch to the interior but, above all, I personally adore rosé wines.

While I often hear voices saying, “I don’t drink rosé,” since we opened during the still-warm season, I wanted to recommend rosé wines from around the world. They are versatile, pairing well with various dishes and offering a unique drinking experience.

Today, I’d like to introduce a few selections from our collection.

Botoromagno Elle Primitivo Rosado

Puglia, Italy

A rosé from Southern Italy, Puglia. It boasts a fresh fruity sensation that feels like biting into juicy fruit. The clean acidity and subtle bitterness enhance its vibrant aroma and make it an excellent companion for a meal.

Château D’Esclans Whispering Angel
Grenache, Cinsault, Vermentino
Provence, France

A rosé blend from Southern France, Provence, featuring three grape varieties.
Despite its charming name, it has hints of spices, herbs, and minerality. It pairs well with salads (especially Niçoise salad from LE BISTRO next door) and salmon carpaccio.

Inazio Urruzora Txakoli Rosado
Hondarrabi Zuri
Spain

A light and easy-drinking Txakoli rosé from the Basque region of Spain. This producer releases it after an aging period of more than twice as long as the regular Txakoli. The richness that unfolds in your mouth makes it versatile, pairing well with any dish. It’s a truly versatile choice!
